The little girl I nanny loves her. Sleeps with her at nap all the time. She is bigger than expected and so soft and adorable. My only question is why no hair under the hijab? The doll is Mina, like the book (which is her current favorite book) and Mina has hair in the book so it was questioned by a 3.5yr old and I honestly didn’t know what to say.. We are teaching her about all the wonderful differences people have and this doll and book are a perfect example of just that. I will be ordering again.

I got them for 2 of my granddaughters whose birthdays are in December so tgey haven't seen them yet, but i love them.

Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Both my seven-year-old and my one year-old are obsessed with Mina. The book is beautiful, the toy is so soft and much bigger than I anticipated. Everything shipped quickly and arrived beautifully packaged. I will absolutely be purchasing from again.

So, before I buy something, I try to make a habit of reading the bad reviews in addition to the good reviews - to see if there's anything *actually* concerning or if it's just "I didn't like this".

One of the reviews I read before buying this (great) plushie said something like "and her hijab changes to puke green, pee yellow, and blood red (not an exaggeration). I just feel like it should turn colors she enjoys!"

I feel like this person missed the point of the book. The point was her hijab changes colors with her emotions - and yes, it is true that it turned green when she felt nauseous, as well as turning red when she had chickenpox, BUT it ALSO turned pink when she was feeling loved/love for others, rainbow when the rain ends and there's a rainbow in the sky, purple when she "ate a yummy grape"... (you get the point).

Other reviews said they "wished she had hair under her hijab" but to me, her having no hair under her hijab makes exactly as much sense as Barbie not having genitals. Like, it makes sense to me that it's not there. It's not the point of the doll. You see her hair in the book if you're really that eager to know what it looks like.

Anyway, I'm gonna conclude this review by saying I like the doll and I hope the kid I am getting it for likes it too. Her mom will probably be mad at me for getting the kid ANOTHER plushie (she has a lot) but she'll get over it. I hope. Hahaha.

The kids in my life are going to learn a lot and will enjoy the experience!

I liked the packaging and the doll is adorable! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because one of the pages of the book was a bit ripped. Other than that, it’s a cute story.

The waiting for the item was horrid. I personally feel items should be marked sold out until products are in hand. Instead of having customers waiting 3 to 4 months for them to become available and then a week to 2 weeks for the shipping. Having a child constantly in your face about a toy coming gets irritating when you have a million other things going on around you. That's why the shipping process urked me.
As for the actual product. The book is nice. My daughter read it several times before taking it to school to share with her classmates. The doll is adorable. And the hijab is not rainbow for gay pride, as I keep reading in reviews. . It's tie dye if anything.
