Our story

Muzzy was born from a simple yet powerful dream to help every child see themselves reflected in the stories they read and the heroes they love.

Our journey began when Doaa, a young Hijabi nurse, questioned why so many children’s products failed to represent the beauty and diversity of the world she saw around her. Together with her husband, Karter Zaher, an artist and visionary, they set out to change that narrative.

From their small studio in Orange County, California, they began creating culture-driven characters and stories inspired by faith, tradition and values weaving together universal lessons of empathy. Each Muzzy creation is a celebration of heritage and identity, teaching children that different is beautiful, and that kindness is a bridge between humanity.

At Muzzy, we believe representation is not just about inclusion, it’s about belonging. It’s about a child seeing a doll that looks like them, a story that speaks to their cultural values, and a world where everyone’s story matters.

Every product we design carries a deeper purpose. A portion of our proceeds supports children in need, ensuring that empathy goes beyond words and becomes actionable.

When we come together to nurture diversity and inclusion in our homes, it's our first step towards achieving world peace.

And that’s what Muzzy stands for: feeling seen, celebrated, and loved.

"Empathy is our superpower."
